Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is gentle restorative bodywork, suitable and beneficial for all ages. With this powerful modality, compression, inertia, holding patterns, tethering in the connective tissue matrix, and echoes of trauma in the body/mind can be cleared from the nervous system, and a sense of balance, ease, fluidity and resilience restored.
Sessions can help with:
- Musculoskeletal issues, including chronic pain, TMJ, and whiplash
- Migraines
- Stress Management
- Overwhelm, Overwork, and Overload
- Residual trauma (for example from car and other accidents, injuries, medical procedures, dental work, unresolved grief, or birth)
- Vicarious trauma experienced by helping professionals
- Pre and Post-Surgery
- Pregnancy and postpartum
- Perimenopausal challenges
- Chronic illness
- GI issues
BCST is the ultimate person-centered approach. It is non-manipulative and collaborative, supporting the body to build its own resources and energy. The healing process unfolds from the inside out, rather than being imposed by the practitioner.
BCST emerged from the energetic edge of Osteopathy. It derives from the work of the pioneering Osteopaths William Garner Sutherland, Rollin Becker, and James Jealous, and was shaped and developed by Franklin Sills.
The primary focus is on the expression of health in the body and building inner resources that support your well being, rather than on chasing down the pattern or problem, which is the more prevalent approach in our culture at large. The healing process then emerges according to the body’s intelligence, and at a pace that allows each change to be integrated.
